Youth Parliament
This initiative aims to familiarize students with the functioning of the parliamentary system in India. It provides a significant platform for young individuals to actively participate in parliamentary-style debates, discussions, and decision-making processes. It is a platform to discuss the national issue on a large scale in a proper forum and in front of the experienced moderators.
The purposes of Youth Parliament are as follows:
(i) To develop in students an insight into the working parliament.
(ii) To make students consider public issues and form their opinion on them.
It is to create in students the quality of leadership. Understand the common man’s point of view and express it in an articulated manner. There are four schemes currently running in youth parliament. The scheme was first introduced in the school in Delhi in 1966-67.
